Bangalore – Vellore – Kanchipuram – Tiruvannamalai

Start your journey early in the morning at 4:00 AM towards Vellore (Apx. 200 KM 4 Hours Journey)

02. Kanchipuram Sri kanchi Kamakshi Amma Temple:-( Apx 70 KM

Tiruvannamali – Chidambram – Thanjavur

Thanjavur :- One of the largest temples in India, the Brihadeeswara
Temple also known as Peruvudaiyar Kovil is located in Thanjavur. Dedicate to Lord Shiva represented as a huge ‘Lingam’, the temple was built around 1010 AD by the Chola king Rajaraja Chola .

Thanjavur – Srirangam – Tiruchirappalli – Madurai

01.Srirangam:- is a river island famed for the Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, considered the first of the 108 Divya Desams (holy places for Vishnu) and the largest temple complex in active worship in the world.

02.Tiruchanapalli :- Tiruchirappalli, often shortened to Trichy, is the fourth largest city in Tamil Nadu, situated on the banks of the Cauvery River, and known for its rich history, temples.Sri Renganatha Swamy temple, established in a 156 acre land, is a great vaishnavite temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu.

03.Madurai :- Madurai, Tamil Nadu’s third-largest city, is known as a “Temple
City” and a major Hindu pilgrimage center, famed for its Dravidian-style temples, particularly the Meenakshi Amman Temple and also for its rich history and cultural heritage, serving as a major settlement for two millennia. The temple first came in to being 2000 years ago and was substantially expanded during the regime of Thirumalai Nayak(1623-55 AD). Lord Siva in his incarnation as Sundareswarar and his fish-eyed spouse, Meenakshi, are enshrined in this twin temple. There are five massive gateways enclosing these two shrines. Additional to the above temple, visit Arulmigu Koodal Azhagar & Tiruvannamali Nayakkar mahal.

Madhurai to Rameshwaram – Appx. 180 km & 03hr journey.

01.Rameshwaram temple – The Arulmighu Ramanathaswamy Temple in Rameshwaram, a revered Hindu pilgrimage site, is dedicated to Lord Shiva’s lingam, which Lord Rama is said to have worshipped, and is also one of the 12 Jyotirlingas. Special ritual involves bathing in 22 holy wells (kunds), each with unique waters believed to cleanse the body, mind, and soul. These kunds carry profound spiritual significance, as it is said that Lord Rama himself bathed in them to purify himself of the sin of slaying Ravana, seeking forgiveness from Lord Shiva.

02.Dhanshkodi – Dhanushkodi, the abandoned town at the southernmost tip of
Rameswaram Island in Tamil Nadu, India, was almost destroyed by a cyclone in 1964 and is now a popular tourist destination, famous for its natural beauty and historical significance.

03. Ram sethu – Ram Setu, also known as Adam’s Bridge, is a 48-kilometerlong chain of limestone shoals that connects India’s Pamban Island (Rameswaram) to Sri Lanka’s Mannar Island, and is said in Hindu mythology to have been constructed by Lord Rama’s army to reach Lanka and rescue his wife Sita.

04. Pamban Bridge – Stretching to about 2.2 km, and with 143 piers, it was officially commissioned in 1914. It is the second-longest sea bridge in India after Mumbai’s Bandra-Worli Sea Link. The Pamban Rail Bridge works on the Scherzer rolling lift technology to allow ferry movement, which opens upwards at an angle of 90 degrees.

Rameshwaram to Kanyakumari – Appx. 310 km & 06 hr journey.

Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu, is an ancient temple dedicated to Goddess Devi Kanya Kumari, also known as the Virgin Goddess, and is one of the 108 Shakti Peethas, a revered Hindu temple. It’s located at the southernmost tip of mainland India, where the Arabian Sea, the Bay of Bengal, and the Indian Ocean meet.

02. Bharat Matha Statue – The “Bharat Mata” statue, meaning “Mother India,” is a national personification of India as a mother goddess, often depicted as a woman in a saffron sari holding the national flag, and sometimes standing on a lotus or accompanied by a lion.

03.Sun set point – Kanyakumari’s Sunset View Point, situated at the southernmost tip of India, offers a breathtaking view of the sun setting over the confluence of the Arabian Sea, the Bay of Bengal, and the Indian Ocean.

Kanyakumari sightseeing & Retrun back to Bangalore – Appx. 650 km & 11 hr journey.

01.Sun rise point – At Kanyakumari Beach, you can watch the sun rising between the Vivekananda Rock Memorial and the Tiruvalluvar Statue – when viewed from the correct angle. The sunrise ranges from 5.35 am to 6.15 am, while the sunset ranges from 6.15 pm to 6.30 pm.

02.Vivekananda rock memorial – Vivekananda Rock Memorial is a monument and popular tourist attraction in Kanyakumari, India’s southernmost tip. The memorial stands on one of the two rocks located about 500 meters off mainland of Vavathurai, Tamil Nadu.

03.Thiruvallue statue – The Thiruvalluvar statue in Kanyakumari is a 41-meter-tall stone sculpture of the Tamil poet and philosopher Thiruvalluvar, author of the “Thirukkural” (also known as a “Sacred Couplet”), and is located near the Vivekananda Rock Memorial.
Triveni sangam – The Triveni Sangam in Kanyakumari marks the sacred confluence of the Bay of Bengal, the Arabian Sea, and the Indian Ocean, a spot held in high religious regard by Hindus who believe bathing there is cleansing.

04. Mahatma gandhi Mandapam Memorial – The Gandhi memorial in
Kanniyakumari commemorates the memory of this selfless leader and is a living tribute to his life. Located on the shore, not far away from all the bustling tourist hotspots of Kanniyakumari, the Gandhi memorial nestles in a tranquil setting with the sea providing the perfect backdrop.
Apart from the above said places, Thanumalayan temple, Padmanabhapuram palace, Vattakottai fort & black sand beach can be visit if time permits.

After seeing all the said places, headed back to Bangaolre with beautiful memories.
